It started with me in someone's back yard. Two kids whom I knew were ahead of me. We were all six years old. One of them nudged the other, giggling, telling them "Go ask Donna!"
"No! You ask her!" They giggled, and then they asked me.
Do you want to go to hang out at karate? We can watch a movie.
I agreed, and the three children began walking toward Eagle Academy in Aurora. My seventeen year old self followed behind them, watching little me run with the small girl and boy. I turned to the person next to me—my mother? A friend? And smiled, "They can't see us" I laughed, "it's so weird to not be seen by yourself"
And then I was six year old me, and I didn't see myself. I ran into the building and suddenly I wasn't six, I was sixteen, and I wasn't in karate class. I was in Caitlin's house—although it wasn't actually caitlin's house. But here, it was cailtin's house. We were sitting in the main room, in front of a tv that blared white and no pictures, talking in the dark and laughing. Peeking out the window for when people came to pick us up. We ate cupcakes.
I looked out the window into the darkness and rain and saw a car drive slowly by. "is that anyone's car?" I asked.
"nope" Diana replied. I think she was the last one there.
Then suddenly a pickup truck drove backward through the streets, and turned slightly so its front end was aimed at us. "…that's yours?"
"Oh, ugh, yeah it is" And she got up and left. Then suddenly I realized I really needed to go too. The room was getting darker, and the plain tv grew dimmer. So I waved goodbye to Caitlin—who was in the kitchen, and left.
I blinked and then was walking through a well-lit hallway, horribly run down with cracks in the wall and broken floor boards (think Corpse Party if you've seen it). I heard moaning and turned around toward the door way I had just come from. A large man was leaning against the wall whilst walking toward me, moaning. As he passed me, I saw a crimson stain, with a knife protruding from his fat back. I knew I was in danger, and that I needed a weapon. I reached forward and pulled the knife from his back as he passed. The man let out a sharp scream and turned around.
"Thank you! It doesn't hurt anymore" he smiled, and suddenly his eyes glazed over as he glanced down at the knife in my hand. "Eyyy, where'd you get that? THAT'S MINE"
Before I could react properly he was holding another knife and swinging it at me. In fear I dropped the knife had just taken, and it fell through a missing floorboard. I stepped back, dodged, dodged, he stabbed the wall a few times, adding to the horrible décor.
One slice, the knife became stuck in the drywall—probably a moist board below. He wanted his knife and he was too busy trying to get it out to notice that I turned and ran back down the way I had come.
I turned to go out the doorway, but a man stood there, holding a telephone, cornering a woman who obviously was petrified of him. He smirked in a seductive and sly way—he knew what he wanted and he was going to get it. Until he saw me.
I was petrified of him at first glance; we had met before. And he wanted me dead. His features twisted to fury as he walked toward me.
"you"
Me.
I quickly did an axe kick at him—knocking the phone out of his hands.
"YOU'RE NOT STOPPING ME YOU PIECE OF—"
Axe kick. His nose was bruised. He snarled and came at me again.
I was petrified! He was too close! Axe kick, his nose was bleeding. Get him away get him away get him away, he was going to MURDER me. Axe kick. He seemed dizzy now, but his arms gripped around my shoulders with such a fiece intensity that I let out a scream before punching him square in the face. He fell backwards.
The woman had gone, so I ran out of the room he had been in and to the front door. As I stood in the doorway I could hear his soft moans.
"Oooh… the scars… the cuts… oh how they hurt…. Ahhhh… stooopp…. I can feel it all… every cut I've ever gotten… it huuuurts…. Make it stoooopp…" he whimpered, until I heard a faint 'vwoosh' and the whimpering stopped.
And I stood there, the well lit room behind me, the pitch black night ahead of me, when I saw a dark figure approach me.
He attacked, I don't remember what he did, but he attacked me and I killed him. When he died, he burst into blue flame, and left behind nothing but four movie tickets. Which I quickly picked up.
Had that been the vwoosh I heard? I turned back into the room and saw a stapler where the first man who attacked me had lied dead. I picked that up and kept it. If they were leaving it for me, obviously it was important right?
I went back into the night where I skimmed the movie tickets. Movies eh? That's where I was supposed to go next? So I traveled through the darkness, looking at the buildings as I passed them, glowing dim in the dark light.
Until I found the cinema. (setting: think Silent Hill Downpour)
There was a line out front and I stepped into it—assuming they were checking tickets. Yoshi was next to me. "Hey!" He greeted with a grin, and I grinned back. "What movie are you seeing? Na Na Na?"
I glanced at my tickets—yes, I had a ticket for that… Wait, I had two tickets? One had my name on it, and the other read "For Abby"
I got to the front and handed the man the two tickets. "Tell Abby that I got her ticket okay?" I asked him
"What are you talking about? I'm right here!" I looked over my shoulder and sure enough, there she was.
This is when I should probably mention I don't know anyone named abby.
She smiled and slung her arm in mine, and I smiled back at her.
"Let's go, Mikey"
I wasn't donna anymore.
We went into the movie theater and took a seat. The second the movie started we began kissing—nothing romantic. Nothing passionate. Just a kiss that's blurred in my mind.
And then she disappeared and I was female again, sitting in a further back row. The seats rocked slightly, turbulence. We were in the air. The movie theater was in a plane. I heard a crack of lightning—the pound of thunder, and the cloth that the movie had projected on blew upwards—reviling a hidden window outside. The cloth blew to the back of the theater and everyone watched the lightning and storm clouds outside.
And in the distance I saw a single streak of lightning. And then the plain tipped forward.
Forward
Forward
Forward…
forward
FORWARD
We were traveling at high speeds straight down—I pushed myself against the seat as my heart fell behind me and we were forced to watch ourselves fall.
And then the plane leveled out. We all sighed relief. That was petrifying.
And then the plain made a nose dive again—grey cloud after grey storm cloud zoomed and broke past us. And so we fell.
I woke up on my back in water with two other girls my age who survived. The sun blared down on me in bright colors. I moved to swim, and suddenly there were mermaids around us.
"They look like a fish but they don't swim like one!"
I don't remember who said that.
The mermaids circled around us—bright colors galore. Practically cartoons moving in reality. They were confused and intrigued by us, and promised to help us. Giggling, they told us to go with them.
So we desperately swam after them—our clothes weighting us down, but our lives were much enough to keep us a float.
We got to a strange grassy land with a lake in the middle, lead there by a river.
I woke up before what happened next happened—but I knew it would happen the second I saw the mermaids.
They seduced us. They convinced us we were in love with them. They touched our faces and brought us to them. Deeper and deeper in the water. And when we couldn't breathe, they smiled.
They didn't let go.
They kissed us as we drown.

Yes, the name of the movie was Na Na Na. I dont' remember the two other tickets i had.
I never used the stapler. Thank you random red head guy with a broken nose who tried to murder me. You helped a lot
Why did i make out with two girls in this? WELL THEN. OKAY... But they were both so deprived of real emotion i suppose it doesn't matter.
